Main Scripture

1 Timothy 2:1

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone.”

Devotional

Jesus calls His followers to be light in a dark world. A lighthouse doesn’t chase ships—it stands in one place and shines so others can find their way safely home.

In the same way, God has placed you in your classroom for a reason. The people who sit around you every day are not accidents—they are part of your mission field.

When you begin to pray for people by name, your heart begins to change toward them. Prayer opens doors, softens hearts, and prepares the way for real conversations about Jesus. You are not called to be loud or forceful. You are called to be faithful and visible. You are a lighthouse.

Action Steps

  • During class, quietly observe the people around you
  • Write down the names of students near you
  • Ask God to bless them
  • Ask God to meet their needs
  • Ask God to show you how to encourage or serve them
  • Ask God to create opportunities to share His love
  • Keep this list and pray over it throughout the 21 days

Social Challenge

Post a simple question: “How can I pray for you today?” When people respond, write their requests down and actually pray for them.

Faith in Action

One student began praying daily for five classmates by name. Over time, those students began opening up about struggles at home, fear about the future, and questions about God. What started as silent prayer became real conversations and real ministry. You don’t have to preach to make a difference. Sometimes the greatest impact begins with simply caring enough to pray.
