Main Scripture

Matthew 20:28

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…”

Devotional

Jesus didn’t just talk about love—He showed it. He served people in practical, everyday ways.

Sometimes we think sharing our faith has to be a big moment or a perfect conversation. But often, it starts with something simple. A small act of kindness can open a door that words alone cannot.

Today is about showing people that they matter. Not for recognition. Not for attention. But because that’s how Jesus loves.

Action Steps

  • Bring something simple to give away: pre-packaged cookies, donuts, or snacks
  • Be mindful of school rules and safety guidelines
  • Offer it with a smile
  • Make eye contact
  • Say something encouraging
  • If the moment feels right, ask how you can pray for them or invite them to FCA or church

Social Challenge

Post something simple like: “Showing kindness today—because God is good.”

Faith in Action

One small act of kindness can change someone’s day—and sometimes much more than that. People may not remember everything you say, but they will remember how you made them feel. God often uses simple generosity to open hearts that are closed to words.

Prayer

Lord, help me to reflect Your heart through the way I serve others today. Give me opportunities to show kindness, encouragement, and generosity. Use even the smallest acts to open doors for Your love to be seen and known. Let my life point people to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
