Main Scripture

Ephesians 4:29

“No foul language should come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need…”

Devotional

Every school runs because of people who often go unnoticed. Custodians. Cafeteria workers. Office staff. Bus drivers. They serve behind the scenes, often without recognition.

But God sees them. And today—you get to see them too.

Living unashamed isn’t just about bold faith moments. It’s about reflecting the heart of Jesus in how you treat people—especially those others might overlook. Honor isn’t reserved for those on a stage. It’s revealed in how you treat everyone.

Action Steps

  • Pay attention to who serves behind the scenes in your school
  • Ask God to highlight someone specific
  • Say thank you sincerely
  • Learn their name
  • Write a short note
  • Offer encouragement
  • Smile and acknowledge them
  • If the opportunity is there, ask how you can pray for them and follow up later

Social Challenge

Post something encouraging like: “Grateful for the people who make our school run every day.”

Faith in Action

A student once took time to thank a custodian by name and wrote a short note of appreciation. The custodian later shared, “No one has ever done that for me before.” Sometimes the greatest impact happens when you simply choose to see people.

Lord, open my eyes to the people around me who may feel unseen. Help me to speak words that build up, encourage, and bring life. Teach me to honor others the way You do. Use me to remind people that they matter. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
